Baby dropped during fight in Sydney

A baby who was dropped during a fight at a home in Sydney's southwest has been taken to hospital as a precaution.

At about 10.30am on Saturday police were called to an altercation between a man and a woman at a home in Bankstown.

A two-week-old baby was dropped during the incident and taken to hospital as a precaution, a policewoman told AAP.

She said the baby and the woman were uninjured.

A man was arrested and charged with two counts of common assault (domestic violence), intimidation (domestic violence), breach of apprehended domestic violence order and take action that results in health/physical damage.

He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.
