Baby abducted from car found safe and well

A four-month-old girl who was snatched from the NSW's Hunter region has been found safe and well about four hours north in Armidale.

Two women and a man took the girl from a Cessnock home into their car on Wednesday afternoon and are possibly driving towards the Queensland border, police said.

The baby girl was found shortly before 10pm near Armidale, while the alleged abductors are being questioned by police.
