AVO bid against Mercedes Corby withdrawn
AAP
An application for an apprehended violence order (AVO) against the sister of convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby has been withdrawn and dismissed.
Mercedes Corby was contesting the AVO application, taken out by NSW police on behalf of her ex-business partner Trudy Todd, with whom she opened a tapas bar on the Gold Coast in 2016 but it has since closed down.
The matter was mentioned in Tweed Heads Local Court on Friday, when the application was withdrawn and dismissed.
