NSW schoolgirl makes care packs for those affected by NSW bushfire crisis
When an 11-year-old New South Wales schoolgirl contacted NSW RFS Commission Shane Fitzsimmons she had just one question – how can she help with the bushfire crisis.
In a touching post to Twitter, Mr Fitzsimmons revealed Tamsyn Grillett, from Broken Hill in the state's far west, has taken time out of her school holidays to make care packs for those impacted by the deadly blazes.
"So far she's made 32 toiletry packs and sent them to me. (They) arrived today and they'll go to those in need," he tweeted.

"Mum, dad and family would be very proud. Thank you for your kindness."
The NSW RFS this morning said 1,8700 homes have been destroyed this fire season in the state, and over 22,000 buildings saved.
Since January 1, 771 homes have been lost, while 20 people, more than 6200 livestock and millions of animals have died.
