Armed men ransack Sydney home: police

A woman and two men have allegedly been assaulted by a trio of men during a home invasion in Sydney's west.

The men forced their way into the Erskine Park home just before 8pm on Friday, police say.

"Three males ransacked the house trying to find a safe. They left empty-handed after assaulting the three occupants," a police statement said.

The men were believed to be armed with a knife and firearm.
