Armed, masked duo rob Sydney supermarket

Two masked men armed with an axe and a knife have robbed a supermarket in Sydney's inner west.

The pair, wearing gloves and with their faces covered, ran into the Darling Street, Balmain store about 9.30pm on Friday where they threatened two employees and fled with cash.

Staff and a number of customers in the store at the time were uninjured.
