Appeal for missing elderly Sydney man

There are grave concerns for a 72-year-old man who suffers from dementia and is missing from his northwest Sydney home.

Police are appealing to the public for the whereabouts of Alexander Stetz, who is uneasy on his feet, and was last seen at his Sackville North home, near the Hawkesbury region, on Monday afternoon.

Mr Stetz was last seen wearing a brown button-up shirt, grey track pants and red shoes.

Police, dog squad, ambulance, helicopter and emergency volunteers are searching the surrounding area.
