Alleged NSW online groomer 'not guilty'

A middle-aged man who allegedly made highly indecent sexual remarks to NSW detectives posing online as an 11-year-old girl during a child porn investigation has pleaded not guilty.

Stephen Myhill, 57, was charged in November with three counts of using a carriage service for child pornography following a two-year investigation by specialist police.

Pretending to be a woman and her 11-year-old daughter, detectives allegedly chatted to Myhill.

"During conversations with the man, it's alleged he made multiple highly indecent and sexually explicit remarks regarding the sexual exploitation of young children," police allege.

Myhill, from Neutral Bay, was granted police bail following his arrest and pleaded not guilty to all charges during a brief appearance at Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court on Monday.

He remains on bail and is due back before the same court on February 23.
