Family jewellery stolen from Sydney home
AAP
A Sydney family have returned from a night away to find more than $280,000 worth of jewellery and watches stolen from their home.
Police say the family had left their Bondi home on Saturday afternoon and returned around 2.30pm on Sunday to find their front door open and most of their jewellery and luxury watches gone.
"They are very very distraught about losing all their jewellery," Inspector Michael Todd told AAP on Monday.

"It is a timely reminder, specifically this time of year, to ensure that places are locked up and anything valued or treasured is put away."
