NSW teacher, 54, charged over alleged sex with student

A 54-year-old female high school teacher who allegedly had sex with a 17-year-old student has been charged with child sex offences.
The Coffs Harbour woman was formally arrested after handing herself in to NSW police yesterday afternoon.
Last month detectives from the Child Abuse Squad received a tip off concerning a high school teacher who reportedly had sex with the teenager in 2013.

The woman was charged with five counts of sex with a child under 18 years under special care and one count of indecent assault.
She was released on bail to appear before Coffs Harbour Local Court on January 6.
