Tributes from around the world have flowed for the much-loved batsman, with a social media campaign using the hashtag #putoutyourbats encouraging cricket fans to leave their bats outside their homes as a mark of respect.
The service has been arranged in consultation with the Hughes family and will be held at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Further details on the service will be released closer to the event.
