NSW police seek driver over alcohol thefts

NSW detectives investigating the theft of $700,000 worth of alcohol are seeking the driver of a Kenworth truck seen near a western Sydney distribution centre more than a dozen times last year.

Police say that between July and December 2013 large volumes of alcohol were stolen from the centre in Eastern Creek on 13 separate occasions.

Champagne, vodka, scotch, rum, wine and mixers were taken and detectives say the combined cost of the liquor stolen was about $700,000.

Police have formed Strike Force Glenlee to investigate the thefts and would like to speak to the driver or drivers of the Kenworth.

It's described as having LED lighting across the front of the bonnet, red Kenworth signs at the top of the windscreen and a "cross-style" sticker on its side rear section.
