Two NSW police officers injured in crash while responding to call for help
Two NSW Police officers were on their way to a priority job when they collided with another car in Sydney.
The incident unfolded when police patrol car drive into an intersection in Five Dock, close to the CBD, with lights flashing.
At the same time, a Volkswagon Golf approached what was a green light, and the two cars collided at the intersection of Great North Road and Lyons Road.

Both were written off.
"The police go fast at traffic light. The other car is coming from that way. That's why it happened," a witness said.
The two police officers were treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

One of the officers suffered chest injuries and the other hurt their neck.
The driver of the Volkswagen, a 21-year-old woman, was treated for hip and neck pain while two passengers were not injured.

It isn't the first time a police car has been involved in a crash at the Five Dock intersection.
Last December two officers were responding to an urgent call for help when their patrol car collided with a Suzuki Swift.
