More than 100 people arrested on NSW public transport in two-day operation
Assault, drug possession, firearm possession, and traffic offences were among some of the charges laid on NSW public transport passengers as part of a two-day crackdown on bad behaviour over the weekend.
NSW Police said 103 people were arrested during Operation Colossus, which ran from Friday 6 to Saturday 7.
"Five people (were) charged for possessing a knife in a public place," police said in a statement, explaining a total of 119 charges were laid.

A further 382 people were searched, 289 move-on directions issued, 57 drug detections made and 21 breach-of-bail offences detected.
Officers were targeting violence, anti-social behaviour, and the possession of weapons, on public transport such as ferries, buses, and trains.

In once incident "of note" a 74-year-old woman was allegedly hit in the face with a mobile phone at Central Station in Sydney.
The assault occurred just after 1pm on Friday.

Shortly after, a 58-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman were allegedly punched in separate incidents in nearby public toilets.
A 44-year-old woman was arrested. During her arrest she allegedly assaulted a male constable.
All suffered minor injuries and were treated on scene.
She's been charged with three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and assault police. She was refused bail and appeared at Parramatta Local Court on Saturday.
