Man charged after alleged bashing of Sydney taxi driver
A man has been charged after the alleged assault of a taxi driver in Sydney's CBD on Monday night.
A 27-year-old man handed himself into Surry Hills Police Station about 11.40pm last night after a public appeal for information, New South Wales police said.
He was arrested, charged with affray, and will appear before Central Local Court today.

The driver was rushed to St Vincent's hospital after the alleged assault. 9News
The 53-year-old taxi driver picked up a man and a woman at about 11pm on Hunter Street on Monday, before pulling over on Macquarie street.
The car pulled over after "driving a short distance".
An argument broke out over payment of the fare which led to the driver being repeatedly punched in the face.
The injured driver was treated for concussion and has now been released from St Vincent's Hospital.
