NSW man charged with murdering de facto

A man has faced court charged with murdering his partner in northern NSW.
Gary Clifford Blackman, 61, made no application for bail at a short appearance in Tweed Heads Local Court on Tuesday.
Blackman has been charged with murder following the discovery of the body of a 53-year-old woman at a home north of Murwillumbah on Saturday.

Blackman, the woman's de facto husband, was arrested by police at Murwillumbah District Hospital on Monday.
The case has been adjourned to Lismore Court on June 3.
