NSW man charged over child abuse material

A 43-year-old man has been charged with possessing child abuse material after police seized a laptop while investigating an unrelated matter on the NSW Central Coast.

Detectives were making inquiries at San Remo in May last year when they seized the laptop which was later examined and allegedly found to have child abuse material on it.

On Thursday, police executed a search warrant at a San Remo address and seized a computer, electronic storage devices and camera equipment.

A 43-year-old man was arrested at Ourimbah and charged with possessing child abuse material.

He was granted strict conditional bail to appear before Wyong Local Court on February 13.
