NSW man charged over child abuse material

A man has allegedly been caught with child abuse material after police received reports he was taking photos of children at a NSW beach.

Police were called to a surf club at Harrington on the NSW north coast on Sunday following reports the man was photographing children.

Officers spoke to a 63-year-old man and allegedly found child abuse material in his car.

He was charged with producing child abuse material and aggravated filming of a person's private parts.

He was refused bail to appear in Taree Local Court on Monday.
