NSW man charged after police pursuit

A man will face court after allegedly ramming a stolen car into an unmarked police vehicle during a pursuit on the NSW central coast.

Officers started following a Toyota Corolla on Bellbird Avenue in Terrigal about 3.50pm on Friday but ended the chase after the allegedly stolen car hit a police car.

Police said they later arrested a 28-year-old man at a Terrigal unit following "a short struggle".

The man was charged with several offences including police pursuit, using an offensive weapon to avoid apprehension, resisting arrest and using a class A vehicle displaying a misleading number-plate.

He was refused bail to appear at Gosford Local Court on Saturday.
