NSW man, 90, faces child sex charges

A 90-year-old man has been charged with procuring children for sex at Taree on NSW's mid-north coast.
Police say they received a report on Sunday that an elderly man had been approaching girls for sexual activity within Taree's CBD.
Detectives spoke to five girls, aged 12 to 15, and following inquiries a 90-year-old man was arrested at a retirement village in Taree at about 5pm on Friday.

He was charged with four counts of procuring a child under 16 for unlawful sexual activity and one count of procuring a child under 14 for unlawful sexual activity.
He was given conditional bail to appear at Taree Local Court on October 14.
