Factory blaze triggers cross NSW-Queensland border response

A factory has gone up in flames in northern NSW.

The fire broke out at an address in the Tweed Shire town of Chinderah about 5pm last night.

The structure burned for several hours, triggering a cross-border response which included 13 fire trucks from NSW and Queensland.

Plumes of thick black smoke could be seen billowing from the structure.

The exact cause of the fire is not yet known and there were no reported injuries.
