Bottle shop could soon be built at site of Lindt Café siege
The site of Sydney's fatal Lindt Café siege could soon become a premium bottle shop.
A lone gunman took 10 customers and eight employees hostage at the Martin Place café on December 15 in 2014.
Cafe manager Tori Johnson and lawyer Katrina Dawson were killed, as was attacker Man Haron Monis.

Seven years later, in late 2021, the Lindt Café was permanently closed.
Liquor giant Dan Murphy's could construct a bottle shop at the location.
It has released a $2 million plan for the store, which will be aimed at wine enthusiasts.
The owner of Dan Murphy's, the Endeavour Group, says it has "taken every step possible to respect the victims and survivors" of the siege as it builds the new bottle shop.
