NRL's Willie Mason banned from driving

NRL player Willie Mason has been banned from driving for six months and fined $900 after he was caught drink-driving on his way to training.

The Newcastle forward recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.09 after being pulled over for a random breath test on his way to training on January 27.

He pleaded guilty at Newcastle Local Court earlier this month.
