Nova host's awkward 'I love you' confession

Radio hosts are no strangers to discussing their personal lives on air, but you've really got to feel for the woman at the centre of this latest on-air confession.

Nova's Tommy Little yesterday revealed to listeners the pickle he had found himself in after a late-night love dedication gone wrong.

"If I've had a few drinks I get quite loved up. I remember thinking to myself distinctively, whatever you do, don't tell her that you're in love with her," he explained.

With this in mind, the 29-year-old thought it would be a good idea to call round to his love interest's apartment on Saturday at 3am after a night out on the turps.

After believing he had gone to sleep having achieved this sole goal, he was woken up in the morning by the woman who quizzed what he could recall.

Turns out he had roused her from her sleep no less than three times to confess his love, only take it back and then declare it again.

The radio jock dismissed the romantic gesture as nothing more than sleep talking, revealing to co-host Meshel Laurie (and the nation) his plans to make it right.

"What I'm going to do, is I'm going to pretend to be asleep and talk more to apologize for anything I might say in my sleep," he laughed.
