Uber driver rape: Driver charged with raping North Bondi teen faces court
A suspended Uber driver has appeared in Liverpool Local Court this morning, charged with raping a North Bondi teenager when she was asleep in his car.
The 17-year-old girl was picked up by Onur Dedeoglu in the Sydney CBD after a night out with friends.
Police allege Dedeoglu was working for the Uber rideshare service when he dropped the young woman's two friends off in Bondi around 1.30am on August 26.
He's then accused of attacking the young woman in a North Bondi carpark when she was alone in his vehicle.
The 37-year old-was brought to court for his first appearance by Serco guards.
He is detained at Villawood Immigration Detention Centre after receiving bail from Police in August.
The accused refused to comment as he left court, he will reappear in Waverley Court in December.
