Tourists narrowly escape injury after rolling car on a Queensland beach

A group of German backpackers have narrowly escaped injury after rolling their car on the sand at Noosa's North Shore.

Dashcam video uploaded yesterday by Clayton's Towing shows the car skipping along the sand of the Queensland beach.

They are travelling too fast to miss a gutter of water and suddenly catapult into a violent roll.

The final clips of the dashcam footage are stills of the car being towed away.

The stretch of sand is a notorious crash zone and has been the location of multiple fatal accidents.

The latest incident will add fuel to the growing unrest amongst Noosa locals towards tourists driving on the beach.

News Corp reports earlier this year Noosa Parks Association president Dr Michael Gloster was seeking local support for day trip restrictions.

He wanted the council to better protect Noosa residents’ lifestyle and environment against the “ravages” of increasing day tripper peaks.
