No room for Labor style spend-a-thon: PM

Malcolm Turnbull has told Labor that if it wants to be seen as credible, it should say how it would pay for government spending cuts it doesn't agree with.

Labor used question time on Monday to quiz the prime minister about cuts proposed in Abbott government budgets.

"The government cannot any longer be a spend-a-thon, that was the Labor way. It's a way to ruin," Mr Turnbull told parliament.
