Opposition Leader Bill Shorten is unlikely to be recalled before the trade union royal commission.
The commission on Tuesday confirmed its intention was not to recall Mr Shorten, however he remains subject to his summons for now.
Involved parties were told to nominate Mr Shorten or anyone concerning the activities of the Australian Workers Union for cross-examination by Tuesday but no requests were lodged, the commission said.
