No partyroom stitch-up: Greens leadership
AAP
Christine Milne and Richard Di Natale have denied suggestions there was any stitch-up to lock in a new leadership team at the Australian Greens.
The minor party elected Senator Di Natale unopposed on Wednesday to replace Senator Milne as leader, with Larissa Waters and Scott Ludlam taking over from Adam Bandt by becoming co-deputies.
The new leader dismissed suggestions a deal had been done to keep Mr Bandt out of the leadership race, telling reporters the Greens were a collegiate group who followed partyroom rules.
