No onshore arrivals in 57 days: govt

No asylum seeker boats made it on shore this week, the immigration department says.

In its weekly Operation Sovereign Borders report, the Department of Immigration said there now had been no onshore arrivals for 57 days.

Over the week, 60 people were transferred to the offshore processing centre in Nauru; 19 people elected to go home.

Two detainees were forcibly removed.

Authorities last Friday arrested an Iraqi man in Queensland and charged him with one count of people smuggling.
