No deals to form government: Bowen

Labor insists the fate of any minority government would be determined by a vote in parliament, not any formal agreements with the crossbench.

In 2010, Julia Gillard entered into written agreements with the Greens and independents to form government after the election resulted in a hung parliament.

Labor frontbencher Chris Bowen told reporters in Sydney on Wednesday such agreements would not be entered into if the July 2 election delivered a similar result, and it would be resolved by a vote of confidence on the floor of parliament.
