Nine News boss pleads guilty to drink driving
Nine network's Director of News and Current Affairs Darren Wick has pleaded guilty to one count of drink driving.
Mr Wick was pulled over by police last month near the network's old Sydney headquarters in Willoughby and recorded a blood alcohol reading more than four times the legal limit.
At Hornsby Local Court today his lawyer entered a letter on his behalf, which included the guilty plea. Magistrate Louise McManus adjourned his matter until early next year.
In an email sent to staff last month, Mr Wick apologised to colleagues for "letting them down …. in a moment of unacceptable madness".
He said he was taking "immediate steps to get help and deal with my problems" and entered a rehabilitation program.
