Nick Kyrgios has hit back at Bernard Tomic via Twitter, after Tomic accused him of faking an illness during the Davis Cup.

In a break during his Davis Cup reverse singles match with American John Isner, microphones picked up Tomic telling his captain Lleyton Hewitt he thought Kyrgios was faking an illness.

"Nick's sitting down in Canberra. Bulls--- he's sick," Tomic said.

Kyrgios has since voiced his frustration via Twitter, with the messages seemingly aimed at Tomic.

An earlier tweet mocking Tomic for having the unenviable record of the fastest loss on the ATP tour, at 28 minutes, has been deleted.

"Let's not forget who holds the quickest loss on the ATP tour lol," Kyrgios wrote before adding the hashtag "#howmanyminutesagain".

Kyrgios is due to play in the Masters Series event in Indian Wells next week.
