Newspaper delivery driver left with serious head injuries after assault in Salisbury, in Adelaide's north

A newspaper delivery driver has been left with serious head injuries after being assaulted in Adelaide’s north this morning.

Police were called to the corner of Waterloo Corner Road and Davis Street in Salisbury after a passer-by found the injured man.

The victim had sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Police believe he had been delivering newspapers in a white van in the area when he was attacked.

Traffic restrictions are in place in the area as police investigate.
