The fiancé of an Australian woman has appeared in a London court after he was charged with her murder.
Amy Parsons, 35, was discovered at a flat on Crowder Street in Whitechapel in the city’s east, on Friday at around 1.30pm local time. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her fiancé Roderick Deakin-White, 37, was arrested on suspicion of murder and has since been charged.
Mr Deakin-White appeared in court today wearing a prison-issued tracksuit, with his parents and brother attending the short hearing.
He did not enter a plea, and has been remanded in custody until his next appearance on Wednesday.

Ms Parsons, a former Koonung Secondary College student, had visited Melbourne as recently as January.
Ms Parsons worked as an executive personal assistant according to her Linked-in profile.
Deakin-White was a Royal Opera House designer and the pair had been together for at least six years, Britain's The Sun newspaper reported.
Neighbours described him as "really nice" and always willing to help out at the block of flats where the couple lived.

One neighbour described Ms Parsons as a "lovely and positive" woman.
Asad Samee, 21, told the Evening Standard: "Amy was very friendly, the sort of person who would always give you a smile.
“They were a really nice couple; just lovely, happy people. When I saw the police and ambulance I knew something was wrong. It is horrifying.”
Another neighbour said Mr Deakin-White had helped him with things like his tax paperwork and wifi.
“Their relationship always seemed very good,” they told the paper.

One witness said emergency services couldn’t get into the door of the flat and appeared to have to force their way in, according to the Herald Sun.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade confirmed it is providing consular assistance to the family of an Australian woman who has died in the UK.
Investigators are not looking for anyone else in connection with the killing, Met Police said.
The cause of death has not been confirmed but a post-mortem is expected to be conducted this week.
