Sydney real estate agent handed two-year good behaviour bond after admitting peering at girl, 13, through window

A Sydney real estate agent who admitted looking at a 13-year-old girl through the rear window of her family home had earlier tried to sell the house next door, a court has heard.

Isaac Nelson Teu was today convicted and handed a two-year good behaviour bond after he admitted peering at the teenager through the lounge room window of her northern beaches home on the night of November 30, 2018.

He also admitted looking into a Collaroy woman's home a fortnight earlier.

The married father, 30, testified in Manly Local Court that he had visited the girl's neighbour's home 28 times when it was listed for sale months earlier.

He agreed he returned to the street on November 30 and he "vaguely" remembered walking up the side of the teenager's house.

"When I got there, the light was on in the window next to (her bedroom)," he said.

The victim was watching TV in the lounge room about 10.40pm when she realised Teu was in the backyard watching her.

She called out to her mother and he fled.

Teu was arrested at a Dee Why real estate agency in December. He subsequently admitted the two November offences of entering properties with the intent to stalk and quit his job.

But he denied another charge that he had peered through the 13-year-old's bedroom window on October 4.

Phone tracking and CCTV linked Teu to the November offences, detectives said, but there wasn't proof of the earlier allegation other than the girl's account that she'd seen "a person" at her window.

The 30-year-old was found not guilty of that offence today by magistrate Georgina Darcy who was satisfied the teenager had seen someone at her window but couldn't be sure beyond reasonable doubt it was Teu.

"While I am suspicious it may have been Mr Teu, it's a very high onus that the prosecution must satisfy," Ms Darcy said.

As part of his bond, the 30-year-old is required to obey a nightly curfew from 8pm to 4.30am and complete 400 hours of community service.

Lawyer Paul Kenny said his client was remorseful and understood the anguish he caused the victims.

"If he steps out of line in the slightest way, there is only one place he is going. He knows that," Mr Kenny told the court.
