A female cyclist is being treated for critical injuries after being hit by a truck on a road in Sydney’s inner west.

NSW Ambulance said six paramedic crews and a helicopter have been called to the intersection of Parramatta Road and Ross Street in Glebe following reports of a collision between a person on a bicycle and a truck.

Six paramedic crews and a helicopter were called to Parramatta Road in Glebe following reports the cyclist had been hit by a vehicle. 9news

All westbound lanes of Parramatta Road were closed for hours following the crash and one eastbound lane had been shut down.

The road has since been re-opened, with reduce traffic conditions in place.

Emergency services remained on the scene while the female cyclist, believed to be aged in her 30s, was treated by paramedics.

She has since been taken to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
