Men attacked with bats, shovels in violent home invasion in Sydney's southwest

A pregnant woman was caught up in a violent home invasion in Sydney's south-west, where two men were attacked with bats and shovels.

Police were called to a home on Hitter Avenue, Casula, just before 11 last night and were told four to five men wearing dark coloured clothing entered the home and began attacking them with bars.

A 20-year-old woman and a 12-month-old baby were also inside the property but were unharmed.

The men, aged 22 and 18, were forced into the back yard before being further attacked with shovels before the intruders made off with property and cash.

The injured men were taken to hospital in a stable condition, with the teenager suffering suspected arm and rib fractures.

Police believe it may have been a targeted attack but are asking for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
