Man charged after fatal shooting on NSW Mid North Coast

A man will face court today charged after a man was fatally shot on New South Wales' Mid North Coast earlier this week.

The 43-year-old victim was found unconscious outside a home on Batar Creek Road at Kendall about 6.40pm on Wednesday following reports a man had been shot.

The man, aged 43, was given CPR by members of the public before paramedics arrived but he died at the scene.

Police will allege a group of men were seen driving away from the scene shortly after the shooting.

Following inquiries, detectives arrested a 39-year-old man at 4.10pm yesterday during a vehicle stop on the Pacific Highway at Nabiac.

He was taken to Taree Police Station where he was charged with accessory after the fact to murder, conceal serious indictable offence and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.

The man was refused bail and is due to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court today.
