Police seize python, weapons, drugs and stolen car in raid on Comanchero’s home

Weapons, cannabis plants, walking canes concealing blades and a carpet python have been seized from the home of a Comanchero bikie gang member, who has since been charged with 23 offences.

NSW Police officers from Strike Force Raptor, set up to monitor the illegal activities of outlaw motorcycle gangs, yesterday searched a home on the state’s Central Coast as part of a Firearms Prohibition Order and search warrant.

During the search on Pirama Road at Wyee, police located and seized slingshots, bladed walking canes, flails, an electronic stun device, 1.6kg of cannabis leaf and 28 plants, methylamphetamine, an amount of cash, an allegedly stolen Mitsubishi Triton, weapon ammunition and a coastal carpet python.

A NSW Comanchero bikie member has been charged over 23 offences, including the buying, selling or possession of a protected animal. Supplied

A 46-year-old man was also arrested during the search and taken to Toronto Police Station, where he was charged with 23 offences.

The bikie member is accused of crimes including weapons possessions, drugs supply and possession, cultivating a prohibited plant, stealing a motor vehicle and buying, selling or possessing of protected fauna.

He has since been refused bail and is expected to appear at the Newcastle Local Court today.
