Two hospitalised after Melbourne roadworks crash
Two men have been taken to hospital after a Toyota collided with the rear of a BMW in Melbourne's north-west.
Police say the BMW had reduced its speed for roadworks on the Western Ring Road at Gowanbrae about 2.54am when the collision occurred.
Both vehicles struck the centre bollard as a result.
Police are investigating whether speed as a factor in the incident. 9news

A 38-year-old Keilor East man was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while a 28-year-old Lara man was also hospitalised but later discharged.
Police believe excessive speed was involved. They're appealing for anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

A 17-year-old girl died yesterday following a three car collision in Melbourne's south-east.
Detectives believe three vehicles were travelling north on Stud Road in Rowville when two of them collided near Kelletts Road about midday.
Witnesses reported at least two of the vehicles were drag racing and weaving through traffic with Active Inspector Peter Trichias telling reporters that "speed appears to be a factor".

Six people were taken to hospital suffering minor injuries and a 27-year-old Pakenham man, a 19-year-old Narre Warren woman and a 26-year-old man from Clyde North were questioned by police.
