Parole revoked for Ferrari-driving kickboxer due to repeated attempts on his life

A Ferrari-driving kickboxer jailed for causing the death of an elderly woman in a high-speed crash had his parole revoked because of attempts on his life, a court has heard.

Suleiman "Sam" Abdulrahim, who was reportedly briefly romantically linked with Married At First Sight star Jessika Power, is fighting the decision by Victoria's parole board to revoke his bail in June, just two months after his early release.

Lawyers for the adult parole board today told the Supreme Court Abdulrahim had been the intended target of two shootings and another firearm incident earlier this year.

Barrister Liam Brown said the attempts to shoot Abdulrahim showed his being out on parole posed a risk to the broader community.

The boxer and martial artist was last year sentenced for culpable driving causing the death of Muriel Hulett, 88, in 2015 while speeding through Reservoir in his silver two-door Ferrari Spider.

Abdulrahim's barrister, Jo Swiney, said her client had done nothing but assist the parole board since his release and the decision to put him back behind bars was unreasonable.

She compared the move to revoking a female prisoner's parole because she had been threatened by her ex-partner.

While on parole Abdulrahim was reportedly romantically linked with Power.
