Bloodied man arrested by police after Melbourne motel siege
Police have arrested a man who had barricaded himself and another person in a Melbourne motel room.
The man could earlier be seen hanging out a shattered window of a first story room at the Beach Motor Inn on Beach Street in Frankston, with a pool of blood on the roof below.
Police say the man barricaded himself in the room and with another person and was behaving erratically at around 10.55am.

“The Critical Incident Response Team attended and the situation was resolved about 12.10pm,” a police spokesperson said.
A Frankston man aged in his 40s was arrested at the scene and is currently being treated at the Frankston Hospital under police guard.
A section of Beach Street has been closed to traffic as a safety precaution.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said they were called out to reports of an assault at 10:40am.
“We assessed one person at the scene who wasn't taken to hospital and we also treated a man for upper body injuries who was taken to Frankston Hospital.”
