Man drowns south of Brighton Beach

A yet to be identified man has drowned in Melbourne’s south this morning.
Emergency services were notified when he was noticed face down in the water about 9.40am south of Brighton Beach.
He was retrieved from the water by the Water Police but was unable to be revived.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
