The 21-year-old driver of a vehicle which ploughed into a tree on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, resulting in the death of a 17-year-old boy, has made no application for bail.

Police accuse the P-plater of speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol when he hit a roundabout and slammed into a tree at Tootgarook on Friday morning.

Timothy Hocking, one of the passengers from Macrae, died at the scene while three other teens were injured.
