New 'Top Gear' trailer featuring vomiting host promises more of the same

The trailer for the new-look Top Gear has arrived, with a new cast taking up the mantle of the wildly popular auto program after the previous hosts quit in solidarity with the disgraced Jeremy Clarkson.

But "new look" might not be quite the right way to describe what is on offer in the short, fast and loud teaser, which features plenty of rubber smoke, shouting, and various high-octane, boy's-own activities.

During the course of the ad, new host Chris Evans pits a supercar against a fighter jet, vomits up a punnet of strawberries, and hangs out with Matt LeBlanc from Friends – another show that just won't go away.

The Stig is also featured, as are plenty of garishly-coloured, super-charged death traps doing slow-motion donuts in sumptuous high-definition.

Slated to be broadcast on BBC Two next month, it seems fans craving more of the same – though hopefully with less bigotry and workplace assault – will be satisfied.
