New rehab unit for SA hospital

About 300 new jobs have been created with the start of construction on a $170 million palliative care and rehabilitation unit at Adelaide's Flinders Medical Centre.

The five-storey facility, due for completion in 2017, will include private rooms and more than 70 beds.

Health Minister Jack Snelling says the purpose-built facility will allow health care workers to provide higher quality care for rehabilitation and terminally ill patients.
