Sneak peek inside Sydney's newest football stadium
Sydney's new sports stadium will be unveiled to the community at the end of the month just days before the first sporting contests are slated to take place.
NSW Sports Minister Stuart Ayres said the "community day" for the new-look Allianz Stadium would involve two sessions, from 11am-3pm and 5pm-9pm on August 28
"Having a world-class stadium in the heart of a thriving sport, entertainment and hospitality precinct on the cusp of Sydney's CBD will help ensure our state continues to host the best sporting and entertainment talent in the world," Ayres said.

"This state-of-the-art venue has the best community and player facilities in the country and I can't wait for everyone to experience it during our unmissable Open Day and Night.
"I know it's been a long time coming for fans, but I know as soon as they step inside, they'll see the wait was worth it."
Ayres said the community day is a way to test the stadium's ability prior to scheduled sporting and music events taking place.
The daytime session will allow people and families to look around the new facilities, try out the snacks and drinks, and meet members of the Sydney Roosters, NSW Waratahs, and Sydney FC, all of whom will call the stadium their home ground.

It features more than 42,000 seats. Supplied
At night, the stadium will test its music bona fides with performances by Guy Sebastian and Baker Boy.
Attendance is free, but people will need to download a ticket online from Ticketek.
The stadium's sporting capacity will be put to the test with the first match between the NRL's Roosters and Rabbitohs on September 2.
One of the key design elements in the stadium is the artwork illustrated across the seats completed by Indigenous artist Tony Albert.

The design's concept is "Two Worlds Colliding: Water and Land" which alludes to the sporting rivalry that will take place inside the playing ground.
"The concept came about the want to tell a story, and that story is about friendly or fierce competition which is really what is represented within a stadium," Albert said.
"Each end of the stadium is separated and distinguished by two different designs symbolising land and water – the land through geometric lines taken from nature, and the bubble of concentric circles for water."
