Nationals object to senator's party name

The NSW Nationals have objected to a senator registering the party name Fraser Anning's Conservative National Party.

Senator Anning also wants approval to use the abbreviated name "Conservative Nationals".

NSW Nationals state director Ross Caddell told the Australian Electoral Commission in a written objection that the proposed party name was "highly likely" to be confused with the Nationals.
