Scattered showers across the east coast, WA thunderstorms ease
Unsettled weather conditions battering parts of southern Western Australia are now heading east, bringing showers to parts of northeast NSW and southeast Queensland and triggering several river flood warnings.
Heavy rainfall with totals of about 50 to 100mm have been observed along the south coast of WA between Ravensthorpe and Esperance.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe thunderstorm warning and flood watch yesterday for the south east coastal district of WA, warning of flash flooding in low lying areas, creeks, rivers and roads.

Up to 5500 lightning strikes reportedly hit parts of south western WA in the space of 24 hours.
Clouds are looming around the east coast of NSW, delivering showers on and off throughout the day.
The bureau issued a moderate flood warning for the Barwon River on the NSW-Queensland border, after recent peaks occurred along the Macintyre River at Goondiwindi, along with rises in the Lower Weir River downstream of Talwood at Jericho, Queensland.

The Barwon River may reach the moderate flood level (6.70 m) over the Easter weekend.
Floodwaters from Queensland have caused river level rises along the Culgoa, Birrie, Bokhara, and Narran Rivers in New South Wales, prompting minor to moderate flood warnings for the remainder of the month.
Meanwhile, the national weather bureau is predicting a wetter than average May as La Nina weakens in the Pacific Ocean.
